Matrix totals - jump to another report doesn't work right

I have a matrix report built in SSRS 2005.  From each of the cells you can click and jump to another report and the paramaters that are fed bring up the exact match to the cell in the original report.  It works great except for the matrix totals.  If you jump from a cell in the totals, it brings up some bizarre combination of selected information.  How can we get the totals to jump to the right report...  is there a way to test if it is a total line and then do something else or ???

Are you calculating the matrix totals or is the matrix making the totals.  ( you may want to do the totals yourself inside the sql that will give you more flexibility with the matrix)

Hi

I suggest to use the parameters you use for total drill down and run the drill down report manually with the same values so you can see where it goes wrong. Also check if you are trying to use fields which are not avialable in totals (only in matrix columns).

I Hope that helps.

We found a feature available in SSRS called Inscope.  By testing for this we were able to get the jump to to work on the totals.
