Cannot open excel docs from email im office 2007

I have a user who is not able to open a excel doc that is sent to her via email. The only way she can view the content is to save the document to the desktop and open it from there. If she tries to open it from the email, a blank excel doc appears, however I can open it just fine when she forwards the document to my email without having to save it to the desktop. What she wants to do is to be able to click the file in the email and it open directly from there. I have ran a repair on office already and reboot. OS is Win XP 32 bit. Thanks for the input.
