Kannel compilation

i need ur guidance in kannel as i am just a beginner in kannel.plz  guide me through kannel installation. i am using Centos 5.3 and Kannel 1.4.3, i am compiling kannel as it is told in README i.e

./configure
touch .depend
make depend
make
make bindir=/somewhere/suitable install


when i am compiling by ./configure getting this at end

onfiguring OpenSSL support ...
checking whether to compile with SSL support... trying  

Configuring DB support ...
checking whether to compile with MySQL support... disabled
checking whether to compile with LibSDB support... disabled
checking whether to compile with SQLite2 support... disabled
checking whether to compile with SQLite3 support... disabled

checking whether to compile with PostgresSQL support... disabled

when i am giving make depend command it gets stuck nothing is happening. plz guide me in first step of kannel i.e installation part.

i did same as it is mentioned in the link.

when i gave make command, i am getting this and from past 30 mins its like this only, nothing is happening.
