Is there a "workaround" for this?
Multiple sites with Vigor 2820's all VPN'd to each other. For back up, I have installed Vodafones 3g dongle. However, the IP address the router gets is a 10.x.x.x , and because of this, the DDNS fails to update as it's a "Private" address and thus my VPN won't re-establish.
Anybody got an answer? Are there any other 3g dongles that DONT give private IP addresses?

I believe that the issue is not so much with the private IP address, as with the NATing and proxying that Vodafone does. There is a page about this issue on the dyndns site:

http://www.dyndns.com/support/kb/dyndns.html#readme-proxy

These guys specialise in providing 3g SIMS which have static IP addresses:

I don't know what their pricing is like, but they require this for 3G attached CCTV etc.

Cheers,

Joel
