When I installed Ajax Toolkit for visual studio 2010, the "Ajax Toolkit" tab I created disapeared.
Which means that all the items will be grayed out when I right click on toolbox and show all.

I created a website project and in the process of creating a feature for SharePoint.

Why is that happening?

Thanks.

I think something got messed up in your environment. Can you try the following steps:

1) Reset the toolbox:  Right click on the Toolbox and select "Reset Toolbox"

2) Add AjaxControlToolkit.dll to the Toolbox:

    - Right click and select "Add Tab". Right click and select "Choose Item". Browse to the location of AjaxControlToolkit.dll, and select Open.

Try with both framework 3.5 and 4.0 and see if it works in the design view.

check out for more details:

Perfect!  I changed the target framework from 3.5 to 4.0 and it worked.
