Error while running crystal reports in crystal viewer.

the below mentioned error comes up when a report with more data is run in crystal viewer.

It take atleast 4 min when executed in 'Crystal Applications'

"Your request was cancelled. Reasons for the cancellation are shut down of the server or inactivity. Please try again later." [On Cache/Page server: Myserver.Cacheserver]

No It comes along with crystal enterprise. we are using crystal enterprise 9
Are you using InfoView?

Sorry for the delayed reply. Thank you mlmcc for all your assistance. No, we are not using Infoview. Actually i have no idea on that. Does infoview come along with crystal enterprise?
Infoview is part of Crystal Enterprise but I don't know if it is the only viewer.

I'll try to attract a CE expert.

This error usually results in a problem with the BOE backend. Either there is a problem in the report, the set up of the report, or a configuration issues with BOE. I would start by troubleshooting the report and the set up of the report.

let me give you a clear picture. The report is linked to a stored proceedure (sql server 2008) through ODBC connection. It has 20 fields in which 15 are user built functions. when this function is executed in management studio (tool for sql server 2008) it just takes 1 min to retrive the results. and as i mentioned above in 'crystal application' it takes atleast 4 min to run. But in crystal viewer it throws the above message.

Since the error is mentioning cache server, Below are the settings in CMC for cache server.

Maximum Cache Size Allowed (KBytes):  980000
Maximum Simultaneous Processing Threads:  Unlimited
Minutes Before an Idle Job is Closed:  20
Minutes Between Refreshes from Database:  10 - Viewer Refresh Always Hits Database
