Use Autoruns to disable Explorer Shell Extensions and see if it still crashes.

Hi Vickzz, are there any implications of disabling the explorer shell extensions?  And do you know why these crashes are happening?

Thanks.

Shell extensions are typically Apps or Softwares provided extensions which hook in to explorer to provide better GUI Support. So disabling them will disable shell options related to their Apps.
I.e. You disabled WinZip Shell Ext. then when you right click the file you may not see the option related to WinZip.
to Further troubleshoot the same you may want to update the software version provided by vendor and Explorer.exe on the Windows.

Crash may happen if DLLs calling APIs are not functioning correctly thus Explorer Crashes and restarts.

There is a major possibility of any Malware existence as well.
