Backup Exec 11D stopping with no errors

I am running BE 11D 7170 with all the latest patches on Server 2003 R2 x64 SP3 with all patches. I have installed the latest remote agent and rebooted on all remote servers. There are 18 servers and this is the weekly full backup with daily incrementals so it is a large backup.  It will run for several hours and then just stop. As you can see in the below image the destination, current directory and current file sections are just blank. It just hangs here and does not move. If I tell it to cancel it just sits there with cancel pending. The only way to get out of it is to restart all BE services. When I do this it corrupts the job log. There are no errors generated on the BE server or the remote server. It was hanging on the same server everyday so I removed that server from the backup and reran the job and it hung up in the same way on a different server. I am now out of Ideas, please help.

Can you perform the following;

1) check the alerts section and event logs for any errors
2) A test restore from a sucessfull backup tape
3) create/copy the existing job and create a new backup job, and see the outcome
4) see if there is any hardware issue/lights flashing etc when the backups fails.

1. No errors on the BE server or on the remote server that it hangs on
2. Have not tried this yet as i do not have a recent complete job. There are other jobs that complete normally but running a restore from them seems pointless to me. please explain if I'm missing something
3. Today I have tried creating a new backup job and when I try to add System State on the BE server it just hangs and i have to forcefully close it
4. no lights flashing / errors or any other indication that it has failed

So, it turns out that it had to do with 2 things. I found that when I opened the properties for the job and tested the credentials for all of the servers it would get to Volume Shadow copy and stop. I had to close out of the console to get it to respond. This happened on 2 of the servers. I uninstalled and reinstalled the BE remote agent (again) and it solved this. I then was able to get the job running but it would hang with errors on the servers that were running DFSR. I did some reading and found that BE doesn't like DFSR and that the best way to back it up was to just backup the share. I have modified the job to do this and it is now running normally.
