Setting up a Xenapp 5.0 Feature Pack 2 Farm wtih SQL Datastore

I am installing a new Xenapp 5.0 Feature Pack 2 Farm.( 2 Server Farm ) I have an existing SQL 2000 server. I want to make the SQL 2000 Server the datastore. What are the proper steps to complete this? I get to the XenApp Create new farm portion of the setup and get confused.

I am not sure if I am suppose to create a new database for the SQL Server first... or does the xenapp setup create one for me??

The farm is only 25 users.. Should I even go through the trouble of setting this up on a SQL Server or just have the datastore use a local database?

Please help!

1. You need to create a database for Citrix DS in SQL before the setup.
2. Make sure you have granted db_owner rights to it. After creating the database>properites>etc..

Note: Consider the users for future, if they gonna grow huge, SQL is best option than local db.

Below is an example for SQL2005, try similar steps in 2000

Launch SQL Server Management Studio.
Create a new database.
Right-click the database and select Properties.
Go to Options.
Set the compatibility mode to SQL Server 2000 (80) and click OK.
Configure the user to be used to access:
Right-click Logins and select new login.
Select either SQL or NT authentication.
Note: You might want to set a default database as well.
Click user mappings and select the database you want to use.
Select db_owner.
Click OK.
Question has a verified solution.
