How can I stop Office Outlook 2007 running on Windows 7 crashing
How can I stop Outlook 2007 crashing after 2 minutes. This happens at application initiation stage.
Windows App. Event log states:
Faulting App. Name: Outlook.exe, version 12.0.6535.5005
Faulting Module Name: as above
Exception Code: 0X00000fd
Fault Offset: 0x00a34b11
Event Name: APPCRASH
I have tried launching in 'safe mode', but the same error occurs.
This has only started happening as at 1/9/2010. Lat time app. used was 1 week ago, and all was ok!
Outlook 2007 in this instance interfaces to a 3rd Party application running on a 'pseudo server' i.e a networked dedicated PC running Windows XP Pro SP3.
thanks in advance for any help.

Before you do a complete install what I would recommend doing is creating a new Profile and see if Outlook still crashes. Another thing you might want to do is go to the MS Update website and download the Office updates/service packs.
Before a "full reinstall" (as Coast-IT suggested) try a "repair setup" - meaning run the setup program again and select the repair option and see if any better.
Hi,
Have you an other user on tthis computer ?
Maybe it's just a user configuration problem. If Outlook don't cracsh an others account, you can try to delete Microsoft Office Outlook configuration File for this user.
But, don't delete any pst file : it's your mail ...
Have a nica day,

I just had the same situation happen and it ended up being a printer. Stop the print spooler and see if it still crashes. If it doesn't uninstall all the printers and reinstall the printer.

Well, your asumption is partially wrong - since Outlook 2003 PST file is NOT limited to 2 GB but to 20 GB, and this is only for "stability reasons" and you can increase the size as you wish (I've test it till 40 GB without any problems).
See details here: How to configure the size limit for both (.pst) and (.ost) files in Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007, and in Outlook 2003 and the tests were done as in this EE thread: Outlook 2003 PST File Size Limit - Part 2 - Clarifying the Max Size Options

A complete reinstall of Outlook should resolve the problem (this means an uninstall of office, reboot, then a reinstall of office)
Also try and update office 2007 at Windows update.
