Marketing (email, newsletter) software

Does anyone know of any good marketing software that I can buy or download?

I have to create monthly newsletter via Email and also advertising for mailing lists etc.,

Any recommendations would be great!

Thanks for the responses, but it seems like most of the suggestions require a membership or monthly fee for their service. I was looking for something remote where you can install and download template as needed...a 1 time fee.
