image not showing up in IE

Hello Experts
I have made a simple page and for some reason its showing the image in FF/Opera but not in IE
Please can someone advise what is going wrong here?

from what I see, a lion and a unicorn? the image at the top seems to be working.

I have tried using your suggested HTML I am not able to view in IE, not in my PC and also on my work PC
This is what I see in IE

Please can you advise what exactly you have done to make the .jpg work?

I am again running with the same problem
