If you add the device using the Item, Manufacturer and then the Model number as per below;

Device: TV
Manufacturer: LG
Model: INFINIA (50PK750)

The control should be able to automatically program the unit and should work fine.
Learning Infrared Commands from the Original Remote:

Given the fact that the remote control database is so large, this isn't likely necessary.  However, in this case you could teach the Harmony Remote every command from your original remote using the remote control software. Once this has been done, you will have full control of your device with the Harmony Remote.

Hi,

This is the hardest i have worked for 500 Points hehe, Either way below are the answers to your question.

1. Activity's are available within the harmony remote, the activities buttom allows you to perform an activity.

An example of this is if you have an activity called Satellite TV.

The activity consists of;

a. Turning on the TV
b. Turning on the Satellite Receiver
c. Turning on your sound system
d. Setting correct input on the TV. i.e HDMI

All this can be done with one button, once an activity is configured on the device, what this means is you sit down, hit the Sattelite TV activity and everything starts up and configures itself as it should, easy and simple.

The remote settings tab is used to modify the settings on the remote itself. This is pretty upfront and allows you to change remote settings like clock time and screen glow time, Upload wallpapers for screen backgrounds and other remote control settings \ configurations.

2. The error message you are getting relates to the technology the original remote for the curtains uses.

That error message shows that the original remote uses RF signal to transmit commands where as the Logitech Harmony only supports IR Devices.

Your Control for the curtains is incompatible as the Logitech Harmony Range only support IR and not RF.

Kind Regards

Balkanite
