Will stopping the TA Gateway Service drop my RDP session to the server ?

Reason I ask is the the World Wide Web Publishing Service when I go to stop, requires that is it also stops the TS Gateway Server, I need to conform that it will NOT drop my RDP and render me unable to RDP to the server.

RDP is my only access to this server.

Looking for some conformation here.

Not sure about your original question, but you could install LogMeIn (www.logmein.com) which is Free.  This gives you secure remote access, without using the RDP gateway or port.  It uses the HTTPS port.  Therefore, you could safely restart that service and stay connected throughout.

Took your advice as to be 100% sure I would not get locked out.
Note: when TS Gateway was stopped I was still able to RDP to the server.
