I-Phone Bluetooth Compatibility with HP Photosmart Printers

I am intending to buy an i-Phone but was advised at Car Phone Warehouse that the bluetooth on the i-phone was not compatible with the HP Photosmart printers. Apparently, Apple had not seen eye to eye with HP and had subsequently allowed connections via bluetooth.

Please would you advise if this is the case and also if certain manufacturers can block blue tooth compatibility with particular brands/devices.

My friend had a iphone and it would not connect to my Samsung Omnia or my phone before that SE K800i.

So I would agree with cpw if they say their bluetooth is a pile of dog poo, okay well not in those words exactly but something along those lines. I am not sure why apple bluetooth doesnt work well, probably a bit too picky.

There is a list here that people are posting what is and is not compatible http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/bluetooth/official-iphone-bluetooth-compatibility-list-6240.html

I suppose I will just have to wait until the firmware is updated.......looks like a long wait.

Thanks, David

Apple iphone is real nice it is just a shame of some of their incompatibilities. For now I am happy with my windows mobile phone. I will wait until I am rich before I go for an iphone lol.
