Event ID 3 Filter Manager

Filter Manager failed to attach to volume "\Device\HarddiskVolumex" (x= 1-20) This volume will be unavailable for filtering until a reboot. The final status was 0xc03a001c.

This is server 2008 STD R2

2 RAID volumes 1st is 2 WD320GB SATA in RAID 1 for OS, 2nd is 4 1TB WD SATA in RAID 10

vss howls for latest hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2029006/ followed by chkdsk on 2nd reboot
