I am looking for a way to setup a text message number so that I can have customers text me request and photos of accidents etc.   It would be great if I could recieve these messages and they forward them to our receptionist who could then forward them out to someone esle.    I'm looking for guidance on how I should do this.   There are several companies on the web that offer Text "Marketing" but none of them use text as way to communicate with me.

Is this something that someelse would have to host?  Could I setup some sort of gateway onsite to interface with my exchange server?

Thanks in advance for your help

MS outlook/exchange has "mobile options" accessible via tools > options > mobile options (outlook 2007) and you can find a host here http://messaging.office.microsoft.com/HostingProviders.aspx

or

how about google voice which will allow you to create a phone # and receive free text messages and phone calls in addition to keeping track of all text messages.
