Terminal Server on Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard SP2<br />

I'm having the following problems with Terminal Server License Server:<br />

<a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887444" rel="ugc nofollow">KB887444</a><br />
<br />
When I try to follow the steps in KB2021885 I get the error message outlined in KB887444. I go through the motions to resolve the issue in KB887444, however when I reinstall the License Server and go to install my TS CALs I get an error saying that the licenses have already been activated. I called Microsoft's activation center and they tell me that it's a technical issue. They are trying to get me to open a ticket for $260. <br />

Has anyone else run into this? According to KB2021885 this is something everyone should have run into this past February, but when I explained the issue to the Activation center they didn't know what I was talking about. I tried giving them the KB article # but talking to them is like talking to a wall. <br />

TS License Server issue

The Microsoft Server topic includes all of the legacy versions of the operating system, including the Windows NT 3.1, NT 3.5, NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 and Windows Home Server versions.

Microsoft Server OS

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
