Unsent Outlook message in Outlbox

I keep getting an a message when I attempt to close Outlook 2007. It states that there are unsent messages in my Outbox. Using Tools, Send/Receive and the mailbox in question bring up a display box briefly. I see "processing" and "complete" before the box closes and nothing else can be viewed.

Do you see any emails in your "Outbox"?

Yes, there was one. I just deleted it. Didn't find the Outbox previously...but your post caused me to look harder. thanks. Outlook closed without incident this time
