We have multiple Citrix PS 4.5 farms in my environment. I was asked to test running our citrix applications through mobile devices.

I setup a test environment with 1 Windows 2003 Citrix Xenapp 5.0 and 1 Windows 2003 WI with CSG(latest version).

I setup 1 test applicaiton and it works great through the WI on my workstation.

I setup the Citrix Reciever on my IPHone and I get applications not available.

I am new mobile devices so I am hoping for some direction.

The testing is all internal so no SSL certification yet(do I need one?)

I also tried setting PNAGent on WI server but does not seem to work.

I also read that the latest version of the receiver does not work with the CSG. Is this true? Is there a way around it?

Thanks. I ended up figuring it out on my own. It was combo problem of firewall, SSL and the correct URL in the citrix receiver.

I do have another question related to this topic.

If I logged into my WI from safari on a IPAD, could it re-direct me to the citrix receiver if I was launching a Citrix applicaiton?

No, afaik, the current version of the iOS for the iPad cannot call a different application.

It is best to just config the iPad withe url in the ctx rcvr.

This known fact? What would happen if I tried to launch an application from a browser on a IPAD?
