Net Framework 4.0 Installation Status Pending After Reboot

Hi Expert

Need help on my .Net 4.0 installation on my Windows 2008 R2 64bit Server . After install and reboot i check the status on Windows update show Failed

What should i do to resolve this issue

Did you try the microsoft fix and then try to install .NET again??
 here is the link..

Now i try to remove the .Net and try to install it back

Finally its successful by uninstall the tools

use this command to uninstall

    %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\SetupCache\Extended\setup.exe /uninstall /x86 /x64 /ia64 /parameterfolder Extended /q /norestart

    %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\SetupCache\Client\setup.exe /uninstall /x86 /x64 /parameterfolder Client /q

Reboot the server

Install backup from WSUS

Walla ok
