Adobe Professional 8 Autoshutdown


I have a windows 7 machine and i have installed the Adobe Professional 8. This worked fine for about a month but now in automatically shuts down after aout 10 secs with no error message.

I found the bellow arcticles but did not help.

Also reinstaledl the application but the same problem. In the same PC I have Adobe Reader 8.1 that works normally.

Look in the Reliabilty Monitor (Action Center) for the shutdown errors. Double click on the shutdown error to see if that sheds any light. It may be another application interacting with Adobe.

Also, carefully consider upgrading to Version 9. Any Adobe PDF product prior to version 9 has security holes that allow invested PDF's to invade the machine. That may have happened here as well.

I saw the following in ZD-Net. It refers to the compromised PDF issues I was alluding to above. I am not sure patches will extend backward.

I tried every solution on the net but only the upgrade to Adobe Pro 9 helped.
