It seems like the Calendar might have gone corrupt. Whats the version of Outlook so that i can provide you correct steps to delete the default Calendar after taking proper backup

Create another Calendar under mailbox.
Move all the appoitments
Download MFCMAPI from http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com
Put the outlook in online mode and close the outlook
Now run the MFCMAPI
Click on session and select logon and display store table
Double click the mailbox. It will open a new window
Now expand root container
Expand Top of information store
Right click the calendar and selct delete folder
Now click on start menu. Go to Run and type in " outlook /resetfolders" without quotes
This will create a blank mailbox calendar
Now move all the appointments to this calendar
Delete the other calendar manually created for backup

Hope this helps
