Outlook 2007 won't open, gray icon

On initial boot of Windows 7 Professional, Outlook 2007 opens normally. It exits normally. Examining hidden icons, I find a gray icon for Outlook with an "X". Then Outlook will start to open, but stops. Going to the control panel, I find an Outlook process in Task Manager. . I kill the process and Outlook then will open normally.

The hidden gray icon appears after you close outlook and will disappear after outlook finish to close the ost/pst file. It is normal if you have large ost/pst file. After you close outlook wait until the gray icon disappear and then try to open outlook again. Do not close outlook process from task manager. It will make “file data check” on the nest opening.
