I have Two tables in a database. One is the ITEM Table containing available Items with Columns (ITEMCode and ITEMDescription) and the other table ITEMSOLD Table which contains sold items with columns (ItemCode, ItemDescription, UnitPrice, Quantity, Amount). Now I have a cfgrid that can insert new sold items into the ItemSold table. And I need the corresponding column for the ITEMSOLD.ItemCode on the cfgrid to autosuggest items in ITEM.ItemCode when you type the first letters of any item. Then when an item is selected in ItemCode Column on the cfgrid, the ItemDescription Column in that row will be updated with corresponding Item.ItemDescription based on the item selected in the ItemCode Column.

With cfgridcolumn you can use values and valuesDisplay.

While editing, when cell gains focus, that cell is morphed to combobox.

<cfgridcolumn name="itemID" values="1,2,3,4,5" valuesdisplay="Item 1, Item 2,Item 3,Item 4,Item 5">

Of course in your case the values and valuedisplay will be from some sort db query.
