Qlogic hba driver: FC Port information format

Hello, experts !

Could any one point to what is the format of the qla drive entry in the /proc/scsi directory:

FC Port Information:
scsi-qla1-port-0=50060160bce02a1c:  500601623ce02a1c:161f00:81;

I need to know what two last fields mean, please

>> 161f00:81

what is "161f00"
and what is "81"

161f00 is the FCID - it's assigned by the FC fabric (SAN switch in this case).

81 is probably the LUN number - but that's a guess.

It looks like you're connected to a Symmetrix or DMX, so I'd be moderately confident in the guess that 81 is the LUN

This could be it, do you have a reference to the format, please ?

I do not think so. there is not lun 81 presented from storage ...

it is made up of FC switch domain ID, area ID and switch port number and  it's assigned by the fabric name server when the node logs in. The domain and area IDs will vary from switch manufacturer to switch manufacturer.
