SBS2k8 Slow delivery to internal DL

I have a SBS 2008 install that has been running well for about six months.  One lingering issue is the fact that an internal distribution list is very slow.  The members of the group are all internal and there are less than 40 members.  When sending from internal or external we are looking at about eight minutes for delivery.  I have deleted and recreated the DL a couple times to no avail.  All other email flow is good.  Please advise...

To start with, you should run the "Best Practices Analyzer" and the "Mail Flow Troubleshooter". These are in the Exchange Management Console under Toolbox.

Do you have SP3 for Exchange 2007 installed?

I ran the BPA and it looks good.
The Mail Flow Troubleshooter complained of IPv6 running on the server stating Exchange Server is not capable of supporting IPv6.  Other than that nothing came up.
I am running SP2 for Exchange 2007.  I am downloading SP3 now and will install it off-hours tonight.
I wonder if this has something to do with the issue...  I am getting an error about a retired Exchange server that we migrated from.  Here is that error:
