Internet Explorer Certificate Error

When I try to leave my home page, MSN, in Internet Explorer and, for example, type in the New York Times URL I am brought to a Certificate Error message in the browser. When I click on Continue...I am always brought to http://wireless.apollogrp.edu:17776/index.asp. This site is related to Phoenix University at which I take no classes. I posted in your other thread as well. You appear to have Personal Security which is a rogue anti-spyware application. You need to remove this app and ensure that your pc is clean as this app also downloads other malware to your pc.

Malwarebytes is effective in removing this application and is free to use.

I will be able to run Malwarebytes tomorrow afternoon. If it catches psecurity, am I then to return to Windows update? How do I manually update the .net file?
I posted the links to the download in your other thread Dave.

"You can download .net here.

.net 2.0   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5

.net 3.5   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6

.net 4.0   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=9cfb2d51-5ff4-4491-b0e5-b386f32c0992

Yeah let Malwarebytes complete the scan, you may even have to scan in safemode.  Make sure the definitions are updated."
