Online Backup Recommendations for Rebranding

I have a very small I/T company supplying value added products and services to our clients for over 10 years now.

We are trying to source an Online Backup solution that we can "Rebrand "and "Resell" to our clients.

There is a huge amount of vendors ( thousands) in this market place. Standards very from very poor to high quality.  It is very difficult to make a decision as there are so many suppliers, and with hugely varying standards, providing online backup.

We need to source and start out with a quality solution, very reasonable costs, and good quality support, as we are only as good as our suppliers.

It needs to be fully rebrandable
We do not want any mention of the suppliers business name
It probably should be able to back up MS Exchange databases although we have no customers for this yet and the databases are probably to big to be backed up across 2GB broadband lines
It needs to also be able to back up Apple MAC PowerBooks, otherwise we will end up with two back up solutions.
Encrypt files
Provide good quality support.
Provide support outside normal hours, PHONE support preferable in case our clients have emergencies. Not just a ticketing system.
Provide a reseller have a control panel
Probably provide software to install on our clients systems
Ideally but not necessarily provide end client marketing material
Ideally but not necessarily provide advertising financial support / cost sharing.
Provide good quality report for end clients
Very reasonable costs as this is a very competitive market place
Are there any legal concerns that we should be aware of, do our clients need to sign anything so that we are no accountable if there data is lost, stolen, etc
Ideally, ,provide some sort of financial guarantee that if clients data is lost it will be insured up to a certain amount.

It is very difficult to make a decision as there are so many suppliers, and with hugely varying standards, providing online backup.

Hello,

You should have a look at Ahsay (http://www.ahsay.com/jsp/en/home/index.jsp?pageContentKey=ahsay_products_ahsay-backup-software_benefits).
They offer a good support and some (basic) marketing stuffs.
There are two ways to use their solution:
- You rent/buy your own backup server which you can customize from A to Z and you can also customize the client software.
- You customize the client software and connect it to servers of another backup provider using the Asay solution.
In both case, I would advise you to have a good insurance in case of a data loss as you are the backup provider from your customer and are therefore responsible for their data.

I doubt if you will find an insurance company that will assume such enormous risk.  If so, please post the name of a reliable and affordable insurance company for us to use.  You need to have a Terms and Agreement document that your customers must sign.  Of course your lawyer will have to write this in a way to protect you against customer data loss. Also, make sure you are incorporated so that you personally cannot be sued.  In other words, you need a good lawyer.
