The licensing here is confusing.  I do see the license of 20 CALS for my Windows RDS but where are the individual CAL keys that I need to enter when I am setting up the License service on my Windows 2008 R2 TS server.  The license server is going to be located on the TS server too.  I guess when the server is joined to the domain you don't get the workgroup option for the license server.  You only get Domain and Forest options too?

So, you see the TS CALS installed on the RDS license server, right? Then you are good to go.

If not you want to install using the Domain then add the license.

Yeah i also needed to add the server to the TS license server group in the built-in in AD.  Also, I had to add the server to the terminal server group in locally on itself.

then i had to activate the server then choose the enterprise agreement option add the 7 digit agreement number where the license resided, input per user + number of cals.

i was good to go after that.
