Turn on RAID 1 on Inspiron 530
Running Win XP Pro SP3 on Dell Inspiron 530.
I have searched the web for instructions to turn on RAID 1 without reinstalling Windows, but I have only found instructions for Vista. The BIOS options on the PC are either IDE or RAID. The RAID controller on the 530 is ICH9R. Any suggestions of course welcome.

That link doesn't help as you still need to install the OS afterwards.
There's no way to convert to RAID 1 while maintaining the current data on your drive. You'll need to copy or image your data onto an external drive, setup the RAID1, then image back onto this laptop. Imaging is quick and easy if you have the right know-how and equipment, so seek help there.
