Vista Build 6992 SP 2
I hav used this OS one year now, and for the first time I want to tag files. But I can't! In the detail spane I cannot edit any file property, and there is no tags property there at all. Yes, I have checked the Tags item in the view options, so the Tags column is there all right. And the details pane.
I have searched the net and do not find any usable method to get tags to show in the details pane.

Not all files can be tagged in Vista: http://lifehacker.com/232891/tag-files-and-save-searches-in-windows-vista.

Try a google search for a third party tagger.
