Data recovery for cached Exchange data in Entourage 2008

Hi,

Here's the problem:

I have a client with Entourage 2008 for the Mac.
He was using it to access an Exchange 2003 mailbox.
He then modified the connection details to access a different Exchange 2003 mailbox that resides on a different server- this caused his Entourage to re-sync, losing all the cached data from the 1st mailbox.
The problem is that the 1st Exchange server no longer exists and there is no backup/copy of this mailbox data. Is there any way to fish out the old data from the cache using a recovery tool of some sort?
I have to admit to having little experience with Entourage and Macs in general.
PCs with Outlook connecting to Exchange, on the other hand, I have a great deal of experience with- fixing and plucking out data from .ost files is a job I have done many times over. I just hope that a similar recovery option exists with Entourage.

I live in hope,

Jon.

You are most likely out of luck.  However, you could try a tool such as Emailchemy to see if there is any data to salvage: http://www.weirdkid.com/blog/2009/05/25/emailchemy-988-released/
