Apple Mobileme - Location Services Disabled

Hi folks

I've just had my iPhone Stolen and have tried tracking the device with my Mobile me Account but I get the message Location Services Disabled.

Having read through a few post's on here it seems this becomes set to OFF when upgrading to OS4 can anyone confirm this? If it is the case can someone please explain to me the point of it?

I was previously able to use it fine so I know it was setup prior to the upgrade but now when I need it the service does not work. I am able to send messages and send alarms to the device so other than being an annoyance at 2am (Love jetlag) I dont seem to be able to do much for my $119

I was worried this would be the case, I somewhere in NSW there is a taxi driver with an iPhone that will get an alarm waking them up each evening at around 2am :o) well at least until I can afford a new one.
did you happen to have the IMEI number for the phone ? at least in the UK there is a blacklist operated by the cellular providers that means for any stolen mobiles - they cant be used on any UK network ... maybe thats something to look into.
