Failed to export the report from Crystal 8.5 to PDF 8.0

Dear experts,
 I have a problem trying to export from Crystal reports 8.5 to PDF 8.0. I have unistalled and reinstalled both applications and I still have the problem. Wehn I try to do the export I get an "Crystal Reports failed to export the report" error.
 By any chance can you help?

Search for crxf_pdf.dll on your machine.  See if it's either missing or in multiple places.  That's the first step in troubleshooting this issue.

I found the file in 2 locations:
C:\WINDOWS\CRYSTAL
C:\program Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin
Now, what should I do?

Is this from the Crystal designer or an application?

I wonder if this is a PDF version issue.  CR8.5 was the first timeversion where they added a PDF export capability.  Acrobat was at version 5 or 6 at that time.

Are you exporting to an application or file?

I'm selecting "export to an application"
As mlmcc said, there might be a conflict between the .pdf reader installed and the version of the .dll.  I'm trying to remember the issues I had with .pdf and 8.5, but it's been a few years.  You might try renaming one of the two .dlls and seeing if the export works.  If it doesn't, rename the other and try the opposite.

Ok, I'll rename it. I had this problem years ago and unfortunatley I don't remember how it was fixed, but I know is related to those files.
 I'll keep you post it.
This is my latest update, I renamed the files and even I deleted the files but still is not working. I can not export from crystal reports to pdf.
Does anybody have a solution for my problem? Please? I really need to fix this!!!!!!!!!
Does it export iin the development environment?

If so, do you have PDF 8?

we are using PDF 8. This is what we are doing, we use iMIS for our database, the reports in our database are using Crystal 8.5 (developers) when I go to iMIS and get to the report, I get the report failed. I found on another tech site that I should copy teh following files a to:
 "c:\program files\common files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\Bin"

crtslv.dll
exportm odeller.dll

 and register them. I did that but did not work.
I just found that I'm able to export the report from Crystal to PDF on a different machine. That tells me that there is a corrupted DDL file somewhere. Now, my question is which file should I looked for so I can copy that file or files to the computer(s) that are giving me the trouble?
Does that machine have Acrobat 8.0?

Does it have other versions installed?

It has the full 8.0 version with the latest update. BTW, I removed the reader.
I think Crystal needs the reader to be installed.
