cannot create forefront autodiscovery http://..../wpad.dat

Hi
i have installed forefront TMG on a new machine winsows 2008 server.
After insttling the TMG, and configuring it,  i noticed that IIS was not installed .
After installing the IIS, Forefront is not creating teh file wpad.dat on HTTP://Foerfron
I tried disabling and re-enabling autodiscover, without success
any hint?

I'm not sure if TMG works the same way ISA 2006 does, but if so you don't need IIS.
ISA itself listens for wpad requests on the configured port (port 80 normally).

If TMG is the same as ISA then having IIS listen on port 80 would effectively block TMG's autodiscover port.

Try stopping IIS, restarting the TMG services & see if it'll accept requests on port 80.
