Trying to setup email round-trip test in System Center Essentials 2010
I am currently using ipMonitor from Solar Winds for system monitoring but I am interested in SCE 2010. One of the tests that I use often in ipMonitor is a round-trip test for our email system because there are 4 layers emails must go through before delivery. An exchange account is configured for ipMonitor and I have a Gmail account configured for the other end. IpMonitor sends out a test email from its exchange account every 2 minutes and Gmail is configured to automatically forward all emails directly back to ipMonitor. If the reply is not received within 5 minutes an alert is issued. Is there a way to replicated this in SCE 2010?
