The processing of Group policy failed  (Event 1058)

I keep receiving this error when I try a gpupdate.  THe path points to  our FQ domain\sysvol\ etc

I have noticed when I try to open the gpt.ini in that location it is asking me to login to our domain.   I can access other policys just fine.  I have checked the permissions as well.
