installed SATA convertor to IDE driver
Installed new MB booted fro CD rom drive a new XP to HD. on completion I went to install thesoftware for the MB,Device Manager displays the 2 cd\dvd drive and the CD -rom drive.but is not reading the cd..I went into the internet to download the drivers from there, but could not access internet,obviously Bios error on my behalf.( what can I do.My set up is I run XP. I have 1 IDE connector on MB which I use to my HD,also on the same IDE I connect to my CD ROM which is jumped at SLAVE, my other CD driver I link that with the SATA convertor to the SATA on MB

when you do not want to use the Cd-rom you can remove it
You can use one IDE connector to connect both HD - or you can connect both Cd-rom by keeping any of them in master or slave mode
But you cannot use one IDE connector to connect HD & Cd-rom.
