Hey there, I have a box with 2008 server and hyper-v role installed and 2 virtual servers

One of the hyper-v servers is a SBS2008 as a DC.  THe backup software we use (Baracudda Backup) backs up to 4 external hard drives, rotating through virtual tape libraries.

How do I get the Hyper-V sbs2008 to see the external hard drives?

Thank you

As far as i know hyperV doesn't have support for external USB drives (which is im assuming what you mean by external hard drives ) ? Lots of comments to MS hyperV team about it http://retrohack.com/an-open-letter-to-microsofts-hyper-v-team-about-usb/

There is a way around it by purchasing a box like this http://blogs.technet.com/b/mattmcspirit/archive/2008/02/29/hyper-v-and-usb.aspx but its $300 so its a tad expensive unless you need it.
