I'm having trouble with fck editor, cant seem to enable font size and font color.

I've unchecked html filter and chosen drupal full under tool bar, but no luck.

It's strange, I got it to work on my other drupal sites.

What might be the problem?

The version, sometimes newer versions or too old versions aren't supported. Try clicking the "Disable Rich Text" button and seeing if the raw HTML way works. That will identify it is a filtering problem.

Maybe copy and paste the exact version of fckeditor from your old site to your new site

the fck editor really messed up my css.

is there any way just to let the users to do bold face? i really think fck is too much for them and i dont want them to be able to change font size, color and h1, h2 tag, that's too much!!!

I usually use TInyMCE (http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/download.php) and the WYSIWYG (http://drupal.org/project/wysiwyg) module.

You could disable all the buttons but the BOLD face button.

An easier way might be to suggest them putting <b> and </b> to make bold stuff.

Or you could use a wiki style format,http://drupal.org/project/pearwiki_filter

when i disable the fck module, it left me a lot of bad tags in the content area, is there an easy way to get rid of them?

i simply want them to be able to do bold face, and add pictures, do italics, maybe change font size(I prefer not), that's pretty much it.

Can I do that with WYSIWYG? I want them to only have these options.

Yes, you can choose exactly which buttons you want.

The easiest way to remove extra tags is to start over. When the HTML is being displayed, you copy and paste the text into a basic text editor. Then copy it back and reapply any formatting
