mstdc can't start on sbs2003 after a system crash

I have the issue as follows:
this morning the sbs2003 server was hanged - it was up and responding to PING commands, but irresponsive - even to CTRLALTDEL command.  No access to lnetwork shares. I had to hard reset it. It came up amost OK - it said that it cannot load the administrator profile.
I logged off and on as another administrator, and then again logged off and on as ADMINISTRATOR, this time the profile came up OK.
Now I have everything up and running, but the mstdc cannot start, and whaty I get is:
