Plugging in old iPhone sync

Had a iPhone 3 sync'd with my Mac/iTunes.

Purchased a iPhone 4 a while back. Sync'd that with iTunes. Now that is my primary phone. That's all I've been sync'ing recently.

I want to plug in the iPhone 3 and sync it with iTunes. Will it conflict in any way with my currently sync'd iPhone 4? Will iTunes detect that it's a different iPhone altogether?

You can sync multiple devices with Itunes, each device will have a separate device entry and a separate configuration. Its easier if you want to maintain the same music set of two devices for instance - be aware that AFAIK there is a limit to the number of device copy protected content can be copied to.
