Problems installing SQL server 2008
Hi,
During installation I run into errors.
SQL Server 2008 was already installed, but was removed.
Re-installtion of it gives my a headache.
The installtion goes wrong when processing:
SQLEngineDBStartConfigActi on_install _configrc_ Cpu32
Error:
Wait on the Database Engine recovery handle failed. Check the SQL Server error log for potential causes.
Any suggestion on how to cleanup the old installation?
By the way, SQL Server 2005 is installed too on that machine, which may not be removed and must remain in tact.
