Crystal report : u2fxls.dll is installed but  can't export to excel (can't see the option ex:  Excel 5 /Excel 7 )

Crystal report : u2fxls.dll is installed but  can't export to excel (can't see the option ex:  Excel 5 /Excel 7 )
I delete the directory c:\windows\crystal      and copied from a workstation where is working properly with no luck .

any ideas ?

Assuming u2fxls.dll exists in that Crystal folder, copy all those DLLs to c:\Windows\System32 instead.

I tried but no luck .    they are install automatically on c:\windows\crystal ...

i download the latest u2fxls.dll  

still I can see all the export , like to MS Word ,options all but excel  ,(also uninstalled and reinstalled Excel 2007)


Any other ideas ?

Search your entire C: drive and any other folders in your PATH for that DLL, you might have some duplicate versions interfering.

how I check the version ?  it's embedded on the software when i run the reports , on the other clients the u2fxls  is only on the windows\crystal    folder , and they suggested to added it to the windows \system32

I found it. Crxf_xls.dll was the culprit.
It was disabling the functionality of U2fxls.dll. I deleted it from the client pc and voila !!! the excel options are now available in the export list.

You must have Crystal 8 or before.  Do you have any applications that use a later version of Crystal?  If so you may have deleted the capability to export to Excel from those applications.
