Gents,
I am looking for a detailed process to create install packages for installing IBM WebSphere Application Server in a reliable and repeatable way.

I need to install baseline Websphere ND 6.1 with Fix pack 6.1.0.31 under RHEL.

Many thanks in advance!

as a first pick I'd say use response files, you will need 4:
- to install WAS
- to install Update Installer
- to apply update
- to create profile

all you will need to do then on different machines is to change hostnames and/or profile names.

i have no experience with CIF but try to read http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/fep/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.websphere.installation.factory.doc/info/ae/ae/tins_install_factory.html
ther sould be good guide there how to do it.
