In notes 8.5, when the user writes and email and selects send and file the folder tree is fully expanded with all children of children of children folders exposed.  For a number of users they have a very extensive folder tree and have requested to see if it is possible to have that tree in a collapsed state by default to aid in speeding up the folder selection process.

I dont see a setting for this, but on the off chance that someone actually knows how to deal with it, please let me know.

Thanks

With the fully expanded tree it allows users to start typing the folder name to find the corect folder, similar to name type ahead.

No desktop setting to make this folder collapsed, it would have to be changed in the users database design.

Making any design change could make future upgrades a pain as you would have to repeat every change and inadvertently cause issues or invalidate some update.
