xp_logininfo brings back info, and a minute later, the same query, unchanged, gives the error:

Msg 15404, Level 16, State 4, Procedure xp_logininfo, Line 42
Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user, error code 0x35.

is that a problem with the Server in general? there is nothing wrong in the sql error log.

thanks
