I need to find the firmware upgrade for a QMC4052R ISCSI adapter for my IBM 8850 LS20 Blade, anyone?  IBM certainly can't figure it out!

Lots and lots of firmware! And all IBM approved. The firmware you want is listed for the QLA4052 which is the same beastie as your QMC4052 under the covers. The QMC prefix means that the card is a blade daughter board rather than a conventional PCI card.

4052 is a dual port version of the 4050 and uses the same chipsets and firmware are the same (it's pretty much two HBAs squeezed onto the one card). When you run the firmware upgrade, you'll see two I/O addresses and you upgrade each one with the 4050 firmware.

Thanks! Glad I could help.

Have a look at this document: http://filedownloads.qlogic.com/files/BootCode/69640/Readme_QLx4xxx_BIOS.pdf
Page 5 tells you how to upgrade the firmware. It's pretty straightforward...
