this is my personal server so security is not an a issue
I have a list of files and folders that are displayed on a webpage.

Instead of having to upload the files  via a upload form or ftp I would like to be able to open the server folder from my web page to delete or add files to the server's shared folder. just like you would thur windows explorer.

I am using xampp for windows
maybe there is  some sort of php command that would excute and windows would open the folder from my windows explorer?
does any one know of a way to do this ?

If you're using Internet Explorer you can make a hyperlink like C drive

Otherwise you could write a batch file that opens windows explorer to the right location and link to that, and then run it. Otherwise you could get some sort of file browser java applet instead

Or you could create a shortcut to explore C:\ and put a link to that shortcut perhaps.
